Impact of immigration on the economical indicators in Australia, Great Brita-in and United states of America

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of immigration and its impact on the economy in Australia, Great Britain and the United States of America. In the introduction, various migration theories explaining the migration motifs and immigration policies, whose specifics and the type of requirements of the monitored countries sheds the composition of incoming individuals, are discussed. This profile is complemented by the analysis itself, which examines the socio-economic factors of foreign-born population living in the monitored countries. This analysis is carried out by cross-sectional data comparisons, but it monitors the arrival times of individuals, providing an overview within the timeline. In order to determine the impact of immigration on employment and average wages, regression was used, but this effect was in no way proven beyond the impact on average wages in Australia.
Individual and social contexts of dawnward social mobility

The author deals with the phenomenon of individual and social contexts of downward social mobility. She focuses on cases of families with at least one college educated parent whose children did not follow their parents in college education attainment. After defining terms such as social status, social mobility, capital and social reproduction that are key for later analysis, she summarizes previous researches of social mobility and educational inequalities. Thereafter she presents a qualitative analysis of gained interviews with ten respondents. This research has been done by methods of grounded theory that enable to uncover contexts of the analysed phenomenon. The author argues that the phenomenon in general, according to the analysis, is not a problem. It is understood as a problem only after it has been set into the context of the social situation in which the phenomenon occurs. According to the analysis the children of college educated parents do use and develop their abilities gained by socialization and upbringing by college educated parents. Nevertheless, these children do not develop their abilities in the formal system of education that is commonly conceived as the best educational institution. It is just the authority of this institution that creates the social norm - one of the contexts...

This thesis explores the relationship between types of strong and weak ties used while searching for a job, in Kroměříž the city. The theoretical part of this thesis, based on the available literature, defines social capital, forms of social capital, and the strong and weak ties by major authors of this social field. In the practical part is conducted socio-economic analysis of Kromeriz the district and conducted a quantitative survey using the methods of questioning. Based on the results of the questionnaire survey results are evaluated and answered 7 specific questions. They also test the hypothesis and calculated using the formula Cramers rule of dependence between variables. There are recommendations in the conclusion, to improve the working situation in the area.
